Player of the Week

Center fielder Austin Jackson went six straight games with at least one hit and one run. That stretch included Jackson's second and third home runs of the season, with the two homers coming on back-to-back days, Sunday and Monday. He was also one of three Yankees picked for the Triple-A all-star game.

Pitcher of the Week

Ivan Nova had a terrific Triple-A debut on Monday, but the pitching performance of the week belonged to Josh Towers, who went seven strong innings while guiding the Yankees to a win in Pawtucket on Friday. He allowed just one run on four hits while walking none. Winless through the end of May, Towers has now won three of his past four decisions.

Performance of the Week

To avoid falling within a game and a half of second place in the North Division, the Yankees needed a win in Pawtucket on Saturday. They got it thanks to a grand slam by Colin Curtis. It was his only hit of the game, but it was a big one as Curtis continues to provide a spark since his promotion from Double-A last month.
