Rain forces postponement

Heavy rain earlier in the day forced the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees to postpone Tuesday's game despite the fact the sun was shining at gametime.

The outfield was just as wet and muddy as it was 10 days ago, when the Yankees faced a similar situation and were forced to call off a doubleheader.

Tuesday was the sixth rainout at PNC Field in June, a month that saw an abundance of rain the stadium's outfield was not able to handle. The latest rainout will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sept. 6.
