Back Mountain won a pair of games Saturday to advance to this morning's semifinals in the 15th Moscow American Legion Wood Bat Tournament.

Winning pitcher Mark Malloy got some late help from Mark Noyalis, who earned a save, to stave off a seventh-inning rally.

Eoin Ellis pitched a complete-game three-hitter as Back Mountain won its second game, 11-0, over Moscow.

Malloy doubled and Noyalis stroked two hits. Josh Day had two of the three hits for Moscow and Caleb Hicks had the other hit.

Justin Lambourn had four hits as Concord from suburban Philadelphia topped Hawley, 13-4. Steve Jacobs, Lou Argentine, Bill Marriott, Will Putnam and Joe Barnholt added two hits apiece.

D.J. O'Heren smacked two hits for Hawley.

Today's semifinals feature Ottawa, Canada and Concord meeting at Moscow at 9 a.m., the same time West Scranton will entertain Back Mountain at Battaglia-Cawley Field. The championship game will be at Moscow at 12:30 p.m.
