Raju Easterling scored a pair of second-half touchdowns, and the Lackawanna College defense recovered five fumbles as the Falcons knocked off host Alfred State, 29-19, in a Northeast Football Conference game Saturday.

With the win, Lackawanna improved to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the NFC. The Falcons can capture the league title with a victory over unbeaten and nationally ranked Dean College on Nov. 7 at John Henzes/Veterans Memorial Stadium in Peckville.

Easterling broke a 7-7 halftime tie with his first touchdown early in the third quarter, catching a 10-yard pass from quarterback Steffen Miller-Colon with 12:12 left to make it 13-7.

Less than five minutes later, Lackawanna's Raashad Bass recovered a fumble and returned it 17 yards for a touchdown. Miller-Colon then hit Tristen Roberts for the two-point conversion and the Falcons led, 21-7, with 7:41 left in the third.

Alfred State (3-4, 0-3) cut into the deficit on the final play of the quarter. Rod Streater caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Sir Aar Taylor to bring the Pioneers within 21-13.

However, Easterling sealed the victory for Lackawanna with a 29-yard touchdown run with 9:29 left in the fourth quarter. He finished with 94 yards on nine carries.

Terrance Kerns added 80 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries for Lackawanna.

Wilkes 7

FDU-Florham 6

At Edwardsville, Chris Horn's extra point proved to be the difference as Wilkes snapped a three-game losing streak in the rain at Ralston Field.

Wilkes struck first when Rob Johnson hit Jordan D'Emilio for a 21-yard touchdown pass with 14:47 left in the second quarter. Horn's kick gave the Colonels a 7-0 lead.

FDU-Florham answered with 53 seconds remaining before halftime on a 23-yard pass from Bill Winters to Andrew Scamporino.

However, Travis Mullin's point-after kick did not get high enough to get over the linemen.

Lebanon Valley 40

King's 14

At Annville, Sean Donovan caught a pair of touchdown passes during a 20-point second quarter to lead Lebanon Valley over King's in the Middle Atlantic Conference.

North Pocono graduate Claude O'Connor led King's (2-5, 1-3) with 83 yards on 20 carries.
