Police seize illegal fireworks

SPRINGBROOK TWP. - Troopers seized 75 packages of fireworks valued at about $12,000 during a search Thursday of a Springbrook Twp. business, state police at Dunmore said.

No arrests were made, but police said charges were pending after the raid at Weidow's Pallets, 200 Aston Mountain Road, found fireworks were being sold there without a license from the state Department of Agriculture.

Police obtained a search warrant for the business after community complaints and a controlled buy of illegal fireworks by an undercover trooper, state police said. The investigation was continuing.
