Jessup man dies in I-380 incident

COOLBAUGH TWP. - A 24-year-old Jessup man was killed early Saturday while trying to fix a problem with his car along Interstate 380 in Monroe County, state police said.

Kyle Vangarelli he had a mechanical malfunction with his car, which caused him to pull off of the highway. He jacked up the vehicle and went underneath, police said, but the jack was not secure and fell on him.

The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. near mile marker 1. No further information was available Sunday.

Mr. Vangarelli was a 2003 graduate of Valley View High School.
