Hamlin trailer blaze probed

HAMLIN - A fire that destroyed a trailer home Saturday morning is under investigation.

The fire was reported at 161 Stanet Road in Salem Twp. about 5:10 a.m., Hamlin Fire Company Chief Joe Marconi said.

The fire had broken through the roof and windows of the residence by the time firefighters arrived, he said. Firefighters brought it under control in about 20 minutes.

The chief said the residents, who he was unable to identify, escaped without injury. A state police fire marshal was investigating the cause, but the chief said it did not appear suspicious.

Fire units from Ledgedale, Madisonville, Jefferson Twp., Elmhurst and Lake Ariel also responded.
