Community Bible Worship Church

The Rev. Jack Munley of Jessup was recently appointed associate pastor of the North Scranton church. He was ordained in April 2007 by Dayspring Outreach Ministries and is nearing completion of certification as a licensed Christian counselor through the National Christian Counselor's Association.

Geisinger Wyoming Valley

William Krywicki, M.D., the medical center's orthopedic surgeon, was recently elected president of the Hughston Orthopaedic Society. He is chief of orthopedics for the health system and director of sports medicine at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He completed fellowship training in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic in 1983. He lives in Shavertown with his family.

Rony A. Adam, M.D., a urogynecology specialist, has joined the obstetrics and gynecology department. He also serves as vice chairman of quality and performance improvement for Geisinger's Women's Health Service Line. He received a medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1991.

King's College

Kelly Lettieri of Dunmore recently was named assistant director for internships. She earned a master's degree in counseling, human relations from Northern Arizona University and a bachelor's degree in recreation management from Arizona State University. She is the daughter of Michael and Ann Marie Mullock of Olyphant.

Misericordia

Christopher Mahoney of Kingston has been named information literacy and assessment librarian of the Mary Kintz Bevevino Library. A native of western Massachusetts, he has a bachelor's degree in English from Boston College, a master's degree in library science from Rutgers and a master's degree in education from Seattle Pacific University.

Joseph P. Redington has been named the university's registrar. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Scranton in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in English and philosophy. He received his master's degree in English from the University of Maryland in 1995.

Neighborhood Center adds staff

Stephanie Bressler, Ph.D., of Scranton was recently appointed Elm Street manager for the newly designated Elm Street community located within the boundaries of the South Scranton Revitalization Initiative. She received a bachelor's degree in sociology from Wilson College and Master of Public Administration and a doctorate in political science from Pennsylvania State University.

The University of Scranton

The University of Scranton has named six individuals to its board of trustees: Marie A. George, Ph.D., Radnor; attorney Joseph J. Kadow, '78, Tampa, Fla.; Lawrence Lynch, C.P.A., '81, Princeton, N.J.; the Rev. Ryan Maher, S.J., Washington, D.C.; attorney Joseph T. Sebastianelli, '68, Sea Girt, N.J.; and Joseph Sorbera, Staten Island, N.Y.

Dr. George currently serves as president of Cabrini College. She also was vice president of planning and institutional research at the university, and she served on the faculty and was chairwoman of the department of health administration and human resources.

Mr. Kadow is executive vice president and chief legal officer at OSI Restaurant Partners LLC, Tampa, Fla. He graduated from the University of Scranton with a bachelor's degree in accounting and earned a juris doctor from the Dickinson School of Law.

Mr. Lynch is an audit partner with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers LLP, serving in the financial services sector. He most recently served as an elected member of the Alumni Society of the University of Scranton. He is a board member of the International Insurance Foundation and the Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart.

Father Maher is an associate dean of Georgetown College, the undergraduate school of arts and sciences at Georgetown University, where he also serves as the director of Catholic Studies. He earned a bachelor's degree in linguistics from Georgetown University and holds advanced degrees in philosophy, divinity and education.

Mr. Sebastianelli is president and chief executive officer at Jefferson Health System, Radnor. He is an advisory board member to AEG Capital LLC and chairman of the board of directors for the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Scranton and a juris doctor from Villanova University.

Mr. Sorbera is president, chief executive officer and chief operating officer of JLS Industries Inc. and JLS Cost Management Systems Inc., New York City. He is a member of the board of trustees and the advancement committee for Loyola School and is an executive committee member for the Pride, Passion, Promise Campaign at the University of Scranton.
