Husband accused of bomb plot

PLYMOUTH - A Plymouth man was arrested Saturday night when police discovered he was making a pipe bomb that he intended to set off, because, as he told police, he was upset his wife had not made plans to celebrate Independence Day.

Raymond Cupinski, 44, of Church Street, faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession or manufacture of weapons of mass destruction and recklessly endangering another person.

According to the police report, at about 6:30 p.m., police went to 118 Church St. for a report of a man "actively making bombs."

A PVC pipe bomb and bomb-making equipment were confiscated by police, and Mr. Cupinski was taken into custody.
