Amtrak CEO to lead Railfest 2009

SCRANTON - Joseph H. Boardman, president and chief executive of Amtrak, will serve as grand marshal for Railfest 2009, Steamtown National Historic Site said Tuesday.

Mr. Boardman will open Railfest during a special ceremony on Sept. 5 at 10 a.m.

This year's Railfest celebration will be the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5-6, at the historic site in downtown Scranton, Steamtown said.

I live in Nicholson, Pa, (about 20 north of Scranton) and own an antique and viantage store called Endless Collctions.
I have had a love affair with Amtrak for years and will be looking forward to seeing Mr. Boardman Labor Day weekend.
