Counterfeit cash found at casino

PARADISE TWP. - Two counterfeit bills of different denominations turned up at Mount Airy Resort and Casino over the weekend.

In both cases, casino cashiers detected the counterfeit notes, state police said.

At about 3 a.m. Sunday, a cashier identified a counterfeit $20 bill during a money count at a bar cash register.

Later, at about 7 p.m. Sunday, a Dingman's Ferry woman tried to break a $100 bill at the main cashier cage. The cashier thought it did not feel authentic and used a bill marker to confirm it was bogus.

Both counterfeit bills will be turned over to the U.S. Secret Service for investigation and processing.
