Voting location moved for Scranton precinct

Scranton polling location changed

SCRANTON - The county Board of Elections approved Wednesday the relocation of the Washington West Apartments polling place to the United House Apartments, which is about one block away.

The temporary relocation of Scranton Ward 16 Precinct 1 is due to renovations taking place at the Washington West Apartments at 537 N. Washington Ave., said Maryann Spellman Young, county director of elections. United House Apartments is at 501 Pine St.

Of the 163 precincts in Lackawanna County, there are 140 voting locations. There are expected to be no other location changes for Tuesday's primary.
